Biometrics Workshop
Held at Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Ljubljana
The Laboratory for Machine Intelligence at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Ljubljana recently hosted a biometrics workshop for 2nd Bologna Cycle Students. The workshop was an opportunity for students to learn about the latest trends and developments in the field of biometrics.During the workshop, attendees were given a live demonstration showcasing solutions that address the latest GDPR legislative demands. This included a presentation on 1:1 matching with iris templates stored on RFID cards.
The workshop sparked an engaging debate between the presenters and students, who raised various ideas, concerns, and questions about the practical applications of biometric technologies. The discussion highlighted the importance of collaboration between industry experts and academia to drive innovation in this rapidly evolving field.The workshop was well-received by the students, who appreciated the chance to gain insights into the real-world challenges and solutions in biometrics. The event underscored the Faculty’s commitment to providing its students with hands-on, industry-relevant learning experiences.
Some of the topics discussed during the workshop included the latest industrial trends in biometrics, live demo presentation of solutions for the latest GDPR legislative demands, and 1:1 matching with iris template on the RFID card.
